The foundation of Kotla App is built on family legacy, respect for community, and service to humanity. The platform was created to honor our late grandfather, Haji Malik Muhammed Latif, who lived and worked in Kotla Arab Ali Khan, Gujrat, Punjab. He was a man of profound wisdom who dedicated his life to helping his neighbors, supporting local trade, and ensuring that no one in the village was left behind during times of economic transition.

Core Principles of The Foundation

Guided by our grandfather's life lessons, Kotla App operates as a non-profit community platform, centered around three core pillars:

Lifting Small Merchants: We believe that local shopkeepers, family farms, agricultural workers, and cottage industries should have access to the same digital technologies as global giants, entirely for free.
Eliminating Commissions: In line with Haji Malik Muhammed Latif's values of fair trade, Kotla App charges zero commissions and zero hosting fees. Every rupee earned by a local merchant or rider remains with them and their family.
Connecting Families: Over the years, many residents of Kotla Arab Ali Khan moved overseas to support their relatives. Our platform bridges the miles, allowing the diaspora to directly purchase groceries, food, and services for their families back home.

To preserve the purity of this community legacy, Kotla App does not display external advertising, monetize user data, or seek venture funding. It is maintained entirely by volunteer efforts and dedicated to public service.

Carrying the Legacy Forward

The entire Kotla App ecosystem was architected and built by developer (Babar) Ali Khan to pay tribute to his grandfather's memory. By providing a secure, commission-free platform with real-time community chat, digital ledgers, and token-based rewards, we hope to establish a sustainable model for local digital economies across Pakistan.
